GENLN3: A General Line-by-Line Atmospheric Transmittance and Radiance Model. Version 1.0: Description and Users Guide
GENLN3 is a line-by-line radiative transfer model widely applicable to interests as diverse as satellite remote sensing of the earth and planets, laboratory calculations, and earth-system climate science. It extends and replaces its predecessor GENLN2 which was released in 1991. This document provides a detailed description of the physics underlying GENLN3, the associated software, and example calculations using the code. GENLN3 is managed by the Atmospheric Chemistry Observations and Modeling Laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. This document describes Version 1.0 and will be updated as further improvements and extensions are introduced.
