Nimbus-7 THIR, CMATRIX, Cloud Data for 1979Apr-1985Mar
d710005

Temperature Humidity Infrared Radiometer (THIR) radiances together with Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) derived UV reflectivities, climatological temperature lapse rates, and current surface temperature and snow/ice information are used to generate cloud data. The cloud data include daily and monthly total cloud amount, cloud amounts at high, middle and low altitudes, cirrus and deep convective clouds, and cloud and surface radiances.
