Abstract

<p>The basic version of this North Atlantic dataset was created by Andrew Bunker of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. He analyzed observations from the ship reports of the Voluntary Observing Fleet into irregularly-spaced areas over the ocean. The atlas presented here contains a revision of the early data interpolated to a regularly-spaced 1-degree grid over the Atlantic.</p>
