The radiation balance and water balance at the ground are also presented and analyzed for an area with about 100 km radius, followed by a description of the modes of precipitation, the mesoscale rainfall systems and their observation by radar. The various types of synoptic weather systems are shown, including those arriving from the Atlantic and from South America, their vertical structure and impact on Venezuela weather. Longer term considerations are offered especially wet and dry seasons as related to basic current structure; the tools available for forecasting are summarized.
