Grids are available at mandatory pressure levels from 1000 mbar up to 0.4 mbar. Additionally, total-column ozone and longwave radiation are also included. Global coverage is achieved by combining the grids for the northern and southern hemispheres at each time step. The Flattery analysis method was used through 26 July 1984, so the usefulness of grids in that period is suspect.
