There are also some observations for Mexico and most Central American countries. The data is taken directly from all the METAR reports. METAR data includes ASOS, AWOS, and non-automated reports. Some reports might not report wind. However, during the quality control, if there is a wind direction reported greater than 360, it is taken as an error and changed to a missing value. Wind speed quality control; if winds are greater than 75 they are set to missing, which is represented as a blank in the table.
