Pazan's U.S. Navy Northern Hemisphere Sea-Level Pressure Grids
d018001

These daily sea-level pressure analyses were received from Steve Pazan of the U.S. Navy Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center (FNOC). The 63 by 63 polar-stereographic grid covers the Northern Hemisphere and is centered on the North Pole. The analyses span the period from January 1946 to December 1978.

Information from hardcopy notes indicates that these analyses were "reworked" by FNOC and were confirmed to be better over the oceans than the raw analyses. No checks were made for values over land.
