The first series of World Weather Records (WWR) was published in 1927 by the Smithsonian Institution and covered the full period of record up to 1920. After that, decadal series were published, and over time, responsibility for publication passed to the U.S. National Weather Service and then to the National Climatic Data Center. Archived here are digitized versions of the 1961-1970, 1971-1980, and 1981-1990 decadal series.
