The group formed so as to evaluate MkIII data and to further improve the MkIII data reduction and quality assurance. The goals were to: 1. establish a quality assurance program to examine raw and reduced data, 2. implement a new calibration technique, free of systematic errors, 3. establish a procedure to calibrate raw and reduced data, and produce a synoptic data set, 4. make the transport of raw data into and out of archival storage fast and reliable, and store data in a computer library accessible to the Scientific Community, and 5. determine operational changes which would improve data quality and coverage.
