ICARUS Chamber Experiment: Hildebrandt Ruiz Lab_20170708_ISOPRENE_Chlorine radical_Ammonium sulfate + Sulfuric acid C7 continuous Cl injection_acidic seed
d789575
Goals: To calculate SOA yield from Cl-initiated photooxidation of isoprene at a VOC:Cl2 ratio of 0.80, and using acidic seed. Cl2 was injected continuously during lights-on period. Summary: Acidic seed was injected with an initial seed surface area of 3200 um2/cm3, followed by a continuous Cl2 injection out of a gas cylinder, and the isoprene injection using a heated glass bulb. Temperature was kept at 25C for the whole duration of the experiment, while RH was kept at less than 10%. Organization: Hildebrandt Ruiz Lab Lab Affiliation: University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA Chamber: LHR Chamber Experiment Category: Gas phase chemical reaction, Volatility and partitioning, Aerosol formation Oxidant: Chlorine radical Reactants: ISOPRENE Reaction Type: Photooxidation Temperature: 25 Seed Name: Ammonium sulfate + Sulfuric acid
