ICARUS Chamber Experiment: Caltech Atmospheric Chamber_20140814_ISOBUTYRALDEHYDE/Methyl nitrite/10102-44-0_Hydroxyl radical_No Seed_Dry
d789081

Goals:
This experiment was done to react Isobutyraldehyde with OH in the high NO2 condition to compare to MACR's oxidation mechanism. Isobutyraldehyde is analogous to MACR except instead of the double bond it has a single bond, so OH addition doesn't take place. Temperature is 25-26 C.

Summary:
The reaction did not produce any significant amounts of SOA.

Organization: Caltech Atmospheric Chamber
Lab Affiliation: California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA
Chamber: Near/Far Bag 2012-2015 (Tran)

Experiment Category: Gas phase chemical reaction, Aerosol formation
Oxidant: Hydroxyl radical
Reactants: ISOBUTYRALDEHYDE, Methyl nitrite, 10102-44-0
Reaction Type: Photooxidation
Relative Humidity: 4
Temperature: 26
Pressure: 750 Torr
