NMC Global Daily Stratospheric Analyses from ATOVS

<p>These global stratospheric analyses are provided on a pair of 65 by 65 polar grids, daily at 12Z. They were operationally prepared by NMC using data from the Advanced TIROS Operational Vertical Sounder (ATOVS), which contained several sensors including the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit (AMSU). The analyses are available on eight mandatory levels from 70 to 0.4 mb. Parameters include pressure, geopotential height, and temperature.</p>
