ICARUS Chamber Experiment: 2014 FIXCIT Study_20140105_4-hydroxy-3-nitrooxy ISOPN/hydrogen peroxide_Hydroxyl radical_No Seed_Blank H2O2 + hv (high-NO "far" bag) and isoprene hydroxynitrate calibrations
d789059
Goals: Measure the background concentrations created by exposing the bag to OH. Sample ISOPN pillow bags. Interested mainly in: -what signals do the instruments see with no added VOC. -which instruments observe signal from the ISOPN, and is their response linear to different ISOPN concentrations. Summary: Today we successfully ran a blank experiment (H2O2 added, no added VOC) in the high NOx bag. Instruments took turns coming off the blank experiment to sample pillow bag standards of the 4-OH, 3-nitrate isoprene hydroxynitrate provided by the Cohen and Shepson groups. The Cohen group bag was 13 ppb and the 3 Shepson bags were 47 ppt, 103 ppt, and 283 ppt.
