It was designed to use a large number of ensembles from the CMIP5 and CMIP6 archives to sample unobserved decadal variability to improve our understanding of rare but extreme flood events. The CMIP models were downscaled using the Intermediate Complexity Atmospheric Research model (ICAR) to a 6 km grid.
