Data Sets for Meteorological Research

The primary emphasis for this report is given to describing the data sets that are available for meteorological research. Conventional instrumental data and satellite data are discussed as well as reference to the major sets of data held within the United States and in some instances, globally. Most of the data sets listed are stored in such a way that they can be read by computers.
