Effects of Thermal Cycling on Biaxially Stressed Balloon Films

This report presents the results of an examination of the biaxial strength properties of two commercial balloon films. 0.75 mil VisQueen X-124 and 0.7 mil Winzen StratoFilm were tested because of prior familiarity with their uniaxial, biaxial, and cold-toughness properties, and with their flight performance records.
