Non-Standard Tests for Balloon Materials

This report is part of a series prepared for the Materials Research Project of the NCAR Scientific Balloon Facility in order to extend the reliability and capabilities of scientific ballooning. This report identifies and proposes appropriate tests for balloon materials which are not presently considered as "standards" in terms of ASTM or other agency sponsorship. Several variations to standard tests are described and some new tests are suggested.
