DCMIP 2016 Datasets

The Dynamical Core Model Intercomparison Project (DCMIP) in 2016 focused on non-hydrostatic global models, physics-dynamics coupling, and variable-resolution modeling. The required test cases including moist baroclinic wave with terminator chemistry, idealized tropical cyclone and supercell scenarios. The intercomparison results are archived and used to establish new atmospheric model test cases of intermediate complexity incorporating simplified physics parameterizations for global climate and weather models.
