McIntosh Archive of Solar Synoptic Maps (1954-2009)

Fifty five years of synoptic solar maps made from H alpha, Magnetograms and He I (when available). Maps show sunspots, plage, filaments and coronal holes and are available in GIF and FITS formats. Solar features are searchable across all maps with IDL scripts (please see the "IDL Scripts" link under the "Related Resourced" field below).

The maps in the Archive has Carrington longitude values between 0 to 360 or -30 to 390 degrees (for 0 to 360, it corresponds to CR 1355 (Dec22, 1954) to CR1486 (Oct. 29 1964)).
