Joint Solar Dynamics Project Data Summary 14 June - 13 August 1982 / Volume I: Chromospheric and Coronal Observations

The goal of the NCAR-University of Hawaii Joint Solar Dynamics Project (SOLDYN) is to define the relationship between the solar magnetic field, as detected at photospheric levels, and the white light solar corona for a specific period of time, 14 June to 13 August 1982. A sixty-day period was identified by the participants of the Joint Solar Dynamics Project (SOLDYN) as being the time during which every possible effort to collect data would be done. This NCAR Technical Note presents the photographic data from the Mees Solar Observatory instruments and shows polarized brightness (pB) as a function of height and position angle, pB(r, @), from Mauna Loa Solar Observatory.
